【講師介紹｜Biographies】
I Wayan Dibia，印尼峇里島表演藝術家與學者。1970年開始，Dibia開始以傳統元素在當代表演藝術領域創編新作。1982年曾獲印尼藝術學院評選為最佳會員。是年，他得到紐約亞洲文化協會（Asian Cultural Council）獎學金，赴美修習，取得舞蹈碩士，並在Fulbright Hays計畫支持下，繼續攻讀加州大學及洛杉磯大學的東南亞表演藝術博士學位。Dibia著述甚豐，並曾任印尼高等藝術學院（Sekolah Tinggi Seni Indonesia, STSI）校長，並受邀於英、美、台等國客座教學。近期他在家鄉Singapad開設「GEOKS」藝術空間，致力與表演藝術的傳承與創新。
Ni Made Wiratini，印尼峇里島舞蹈藝術家與學者。畢業於日惹（Yogyakarta）印尼舞蹈學院（Indonesia Dance Academy, ASTI），曾獲紐約亞洲文化協會及福特基金會（Ford Foundation）資助完成舞蹈碩士學位，並歸國於Udayana大學攻讀博士學位。除了在世界各地巡演，目前Wiratini亦為峇里島諸多村落的藝術團體擔任顧問，並經營個人舞蹈工作室，投身峇里傳統舞蹈教育事業。
I Wayan Dibia｜
I Wayan Dibia, born in Singapadu village of Gianyar, is an artists and scholar specializing in Balinese performing arts. From 1970, Dibia started to experiment with elements of traditional Balinese performing arts to create new works for a contemporary audience. He joined the faculty of dance at the Indonesia Dance Academy in Denpasar in 1974. He was elected as the best faculty member of Indonesia Arts Academies in 1982.
In 1982 he received grant from the Asian Cultural Council New York in 1982 to do his MA in Dance, and from The Fulbright Hays in 1987 to pursue his Ph.D. in Southeast Asian Performing Arts, both at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has written a number of books and articles, both in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Among his recent books are: Balinese Dance, Drama, and Music; A Guide to the Performing Arts of Bali he wrote with RucinaBalinger, and Taksu In and Beyond Balinese Arts, As a performing artist he has toured to Asia, Europe, Australia, and The United States of America.
From 1997 to 2002 he served as the Director of STSI Denpasar. While teaching at STSI or now ISI Denpasar, Mr. Dibia has recently opened a house for performing art creativity, GEOKS, in his home village. In the Fall 2005 through Spring 2007, he was a visiting fellow of Balinese performing arts at The College of Holy Cross, Massachusetts, to teach Balinese music and dance. In 2011 he was a consultant of an exhibition of Balinese art and culture at the Horniman Museum, London.
Ni Made Wiratini｜
Ni Made Wiratini, born in Denpasar-Bali, is an artists and scholar specializing in Balinese dance.She is a performer various classical Balinese dances, and she joined the faculty of dance at the Indonesia Dance Academy in Denpasar in 1975. She has been appointed as a member of judging team for dance competitions at The Annual Bali Arts Festival. She earned her BA from Indonesia Dance Academy (ASTI) Yogyakarta in 1986. In 1987 she received a joined grant from the Asian Cultural Council New York and Ford Foundation in 1987 to do her MA in Dance. She earned her Doctorate in Cultural Studies in 2005 from University of Udayana Denpasar.
She was elected as the best faculty member of Indonesia State College of the Arts (STSI) now Indonesia Institute of The Arts (ISI) Denpasar. As a performing artist she has toured to Asia, Europe, Australia, and The United States of America. She has written several books and articles on Balinese dances.
Upon her retirement, Dr. Wiratinidedicate most of her time in the Bali Council of Traditional Village by giving consultation to village art groups in different districts of Bali as well as to private dance studios around the City of Denpasar.
