已故劇場導演Nandang Aradea,自學生時期便投身劇場,並且為萬隆當代劇團「Mainteater」的創立者之一。2002至2006年間,Nandang Aradea長居莫斯科,參與國際契訶夫戲劇節(Chekhov International Theatre Festival)與國際劇場藝術集會(Theatre Olympics)的訓練。Nandang Aradea返國後成立「Teaterstudio Indonesia」,繼續實踐他在漫長的移動及學習經驗中累積的劇場知識。Selvi Agnesia透過梳理Nandang Aradea從印尼到俄羅斯,再回到印尼的藝術生涯,挖掘他創作美學的轉變,以及他創造、傳承予後輩的劇場方法「Miragarasa」。

Selvi Agnesia
作家、自由記者、藝術管理與劇場製作人。畢業自印尼大學人類學碩士,以印尼當代劇場導演Nandang Aradea為研究主題,探究藝術工作者的遷徙、文化認同與社會關係。2009年起,擔任《ARTI》雜誌、《Journal Nasional》日報藝文記者與專欄作家,文章亦散見於《Kompas》、《Jawa Pos》、《Sinar Harapan》、《Seputar Indonesia》、《Bali Pos》、《Majalah Sarasvati》、《Indopos》、《Indonesia Dance Festival》、《Indonesiaseni.com》、《Kelola Seni Budaya》、《Akar Padi News》、《Gramedia.com》。等媒體。

著有小說《Anomali》、劇本《Kala》及改編自Seno Gumira Ajidarma作品的劇本《Wong Asu》。曾於雅加達Salihara藝術中心擔任駐村劇場策展人,2017年起於Studio Hanafi擔任專案經理人,專事展覽製作。2018年Selvi曾擔任台灣移民工文學獎初選評審,目前在台灣進行以印尼移工社群為研究對象的「Trans/Voices Project」藝術進駐計畫。

Nandang was a dramatist who sought for knowledge about modern Indonesian theater in Bandung, then continually broadened his study in modern European theater in Moscow and assimilated the whole knowledge and theater experience in Banten by creating a form of theater methodology named Miragarasa Theater.

Each journey with different spaces, knowledge, experience, and cultural dynamic affect the transformation of Nandang’s aesthetic works in the scope of artistic and thematic. The effort of constructing the meaning between Nandang Aradea’s inter-space shuttle journey and his modern theater works is correlated with the four main contexts: cultural identity, the migration journey (Merantau), and aesthetic transformation that leads to Miragarasa Theater.

The research is resulted from the reading toward the migration process and the works of modern theater of the dramatist Nandang Aradea, by which the creativity journey of the artist experienced the process of physical migration and cultural migration that affected the aesthetic transformation of his theater works. Through the migration process of Merantau (wandering about to new places), Nandang Aradea did the cultural inter-space shuttle journey, resulted from the movement among different spaces, time, and culture between urban and suburban (village), between the flow of traditional and modern culture, between locality and globalism without leaving behind his former identity, that are, the ethnicity of Sundanese culture as its root and a cosmopolitan Sundanese as way of life.

Selvi Agnesia, born in Bandung, West Jawa Province, graduated from the department of Anthropology, University of Indonesia, lives in Jakarta as an art manager, arts-cultural writer, and theatre observer. She has been involved in the world of performing arts management, especially with TeaterStudio Indonesia(TSI) and Teater Kubur Laboratory. From 2009 to 2013, she had worked in Majalah Arti, Harian Umum Jurnal Nasional, Humas Dewan Kesenian Jakarta etc. as a journalist.

She also participated the residency project of theatre curator in Salihara Community.

Since 2017, she’s worked in Studio Hanafi as program manager. Her articles can be found on KOMPAS, JAWA POS, SINAR HARAPAN, SEPUTAR INDONESIA, BALI POS, JURNAL NASIONAL, MAJALAH ARTI, MAJALAH SARASVATI, INDOPOS, INDONESIA DANCE FESTIVAL, INDONESIASENI.COM, KELOLA SENI BUDAYA, AKAR PADI NEWS, GRAMEDIA.COM etc.

Nandang Aradea, sutradara TeaterStudio Indonesia, adalah seniman teater yang melakukan pencarian pengetahuan teater modern Indonesia di Bandung, selanjutnya mendalami teater modern Barat di Moskow dan melakukan peleburan seluruh pengetahuan dan pengalaman berteaternya di Banten dengan puncaknya menciptakan bentuk metode teater bernama Teater Miragarasa.

Setiap perjalanan dengan perbedaan ruang, pengetahuan, pengalaman dan dinamika kebudayaan mempengaruhi tranformasi perubahan estetika karya Nandang dalam artistik dan tematik. Upaya pemaknaan perjalanan ulang-alik terhadap karya teater modern Nandang Aradea memiliki hubungan korelasional dengan empat konteks utama yaitu identitas budaya, migrasi (merantau) dan transformasi estetika menuju Teater Miragarasa.

Kajian etnografi biografi ini ingin menjelaskan secara dialektika antara relasi tokoh dan karyanya. Kreativitas seorang seniman memiliki hubungan dialektika dengan representasi identitas secara individual, melalui sumber pengalaman dan pengetahuan yang dipengaruhi proses kultural dan sosial dengan masyarakat di mana seniman itu berada.

Selvi Agnesia, lahir di Bandung, 30 Nopember 1986. Tinggal di Jakarta dan bekerja sebagai Manajer Seni, Penulis Seni Budaya dan Pengamat Teater. Terlibat pula dalam manajemen seni pertunjukan bersama berbagai kelompok teater dan lembaga seni di Indonesia terutama dengan TeaterStudio Indonesia (TSI) sebagai Manager Produksi TSI di Festival Tokyo 2012 dan Festival Tokyo 2013. Bersama Teater Kubur Laboratory di Imagine Festival Basel-Swiss, Peraih Hibah Seni Kelola 2011 dan 2014 bersama Stage Corner Community dan koordinator acara Festival Teater Jakarta 2014. Pegiat Budaya New Zealand, 2015, manajer produksi pameran Hanafi “The Maritime Spice Road” April 2017 di New York-USA dan Pameran “Fertil, Barakat.

Pada 2009 sampai pertengahan 2013 pernah bekerja di Majalah Arti, Harian Umum Jurnal Nasional, Humas Dewan Kesenian Jakarta, mengikuti Residensi Kurator Teater di Salihara dan berbagai lembaga media & lembaga seni lainnya. Lulusan Magister Antropologi, Universitas Indonesia. Tulisan tentang esai dan opini seni-budaya pernah dimuat antara lain di: KOMPAS, JAWA POS, SINAR HARAPAN, SEPUTAR INDONESIA, BALI POS, JURNAL NASIONAL, MAJALAH ARTI, MAJALAH SARASVATI, INDOPOS, INDONESIA DANCE FESTIVAL, INDONESIASENI.COM, KELOLA SENI BUDAYA, AKAR PADI NEWS, GRAMEDIA.COM dan sebagainya. Pernah menulis naskah teater berjudul “Kala” dan “Wong Asu” adaptasi cerpen Seno Gumira Ajidarma”.
