【曼尼普里舞蹈】
曼尼普里舞 (Manipuri dance) 也稱作 “Jagoi” 舞，是印度數種主要古典舞蹈型式之一，因發源於印度東北地區的曼尼普邦 (Manipur)，故以此地區為名。表演內容特別以印度教系統中毗濕奴教派的主題聞名，用優美細膩的舞劇表演描繪出奎師那 (Krishna) 與愛人 Radha 的愛情故事，這樣的舞劇被稱作 “Raasleela”。然而這種舞蹈也會表演與地方神靈相關的主題。
曼尼普里舞蹈是團體表演，有其獨特的服飾、美學、規則與劇目。曼尼普里舞劇大多以優雅、流暢、蜿蜒為特徵，非常強調手和上半身的舞姿動作。
About Indian Classical Manipuri Dance-
Manipuri dance, also known as Jagoi, is one of the major Indian classical dance forms, named after the region of its origin Manipur, a state in northeastern India. It is particularly known for its Hindu Vaishnavism themes, and exquisite performances of love-inspired dance drama of Radha-Krishna called Raasleela. However, the dance is also performed to themes related to regional deities.
The Manipuri dance is a team performance, with its own unique costumes, aesthetics, conventions and repertoire.The Manipuri dance drama is, for most part, marked by a performance that is graceful, fluid, sinuous with greater emphasis on hand and upper body gestures.
【Introduction of Speaker／講者簡介】
Ranjini (珊妮) 出身文化世家，兩歲開始學習曼尼普里舞蹈。曾獲印度政府文化部「文化資源與培訓中心」初階與高階獎學金。2005 年起，Ranjini 開始擁有自己的表演團隊。她擔任曼尼普里舞蹈老師，並透過政府「印度文化關係理事會」走訪印度各地、孟加拉國、不丹。而在台灣，她也時常受各界邀約表演，包括印度台北協會、中研院、陽明大學等等。
Ranjini hails from a cultural family and she started learning Indian Manipuri dance since her age of 2. Received Junior and Senior scholarship from CCRT, Ministry of culture, Government of India. Ranjini has her own performing troupe in India since 2005. She worked as Manipuri Dance teacher and travelled in all parts of India, Bangladesh and Bhutan through ICCR. In Taiwan, she has performed for India- Taipei Association, various organizations and Universities including Academia Sinica and Yangming University.
